Terms of Service
Last updated June 16, 2026
These terms cover your purchase and use of the Stower Mac app. By buying or using Stower, you agree to them.
1. Your license to use the app
When you buy Stower, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on your own Macs, up to the activation limit shown at checkout. Your license key is yours — please don’t share or resell it. (Stower’s source code is separately published under the Polyform Noncommercial license; these terms govern your use of the packaged app.)
2. Free trial, and what your purchase includes
Stower starts with a 30-day free trial — the full app, free, for 30 days. After that, a one-time purchase lets you keep using it for as long as you like. Your purchase includes the version you bought and every minor update within the same major version (the 0.x series), free. A future major version (for example, version 1) is a separate, paid release — if and when it ships; we don’t promise a date. You are never forced to upgrade, and version 0 keeps working. We will never charge you again for what you already bought, and the price you bought at stays yours.
3. Payments and refunds
Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, acting as the merchant of record. If Stower isn’t for you, email hello@stower.app within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
4. Acceptable use
Use Stower for your own personal messages. Don’t circumvent the licensing, resell the packaged app, or use it to violate anyone’s privacy or the law. (You are free to read and modify the public source code under its own license.)
5. Your data and your device
Stower runs on your device and does not send your messages anywhere — see the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your own Mac, your backups, and how you act on what Stower surfaces.
6. Disclaimer
Stower is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. It is a brand-new (0.x) product made by one person. We don’t guarantee it is error-free or that it will catch every message that needs a reply.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Stower.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes. We’ll revise the date above when we do.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
